Terms
Poddrop is free to use and self-host for anything except selling it as a competing hosted service. Use the converter as much as you like, run the dashboard wherever you want, and check generated units before you trust them in production.
The software
Poddrop's converter, CLI and dashboard are released under the Functional Source License 1.1 (FSL-1.1-ALv2). That license governs how you may use, modify and redistribute the code, and these terms don't narrow it. In short: use it, change it and self-host it for anything except offering it as a competing commercial service. Each release becomes available under the Apache License 2.0 two years after it ships. "Poddrop" and the logo are trademarks of Sprigworks LLC.
The hosted converter
Using the converter at poddrop.dev is free and needs no account. Please don't:
- use it to break the law, or to attack or disrupt other systems;
- send automated traffic in volumes meant to overwhelm it or get around its rate limits.
We may limit or block traffic that does either, and we may change or retire the hosted service.
Check what you deploy
Compose and Quadlet don't map one-to-one, which is why every conversion comes with a report. Read it, and test generated units on a server you can afford to rebuild before you rely on them. You're responsible for what you run on your servers and for the security of the machine you run the dashboard on.
No warranty
Poddrop is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Sprigworks LLC isn't liable for damages arising from its use, including data loss or downtime. The license's own disclaimer sets out the same limitation for the software itself.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above.
